WA-HI Judo
Judo is many things to different people. It is a fun sport, an art, a discipline, a recreational or social activity, a fitness program, a means of self-defense and for many a way of life. Judo comes from a fighting system in Japan founded in 1882 by Jigoro Kano and is a refinement of the art of Jujitsu. Professor Jigoro Kano said, “One belongs to a group and nation and must work peacefully with others from other nations for the welfare of society. There must be a rapport-a meeting of the minds-which requires constant effort. Therefore, to this end, one must first develop oneself in order to work with others for the common good.” Use your energy virtuously. Come explore this great concept. Ages 16 and older.
