Trash to Treasure
Have you broken a piece of your grandmother’s china and haven’t the heart to throw it out? Have an old 70’s table you inherited from your mom when you moved into your first apartment? Or maybe a great piece caught your eye at a garage sale and you brought it home. The first class session Suzanne will give an introduction and demonstration of fun ideas to give old furniture and mementos new life as works of art. The last two sessions will be work sessions where you may bring your own pieces to work on with Suzanne’s assistance. Pay instructor $5 supply fee.

How did I get into this mess, anyway?! Where’s my therapist? I know I filed him in here somewhere… Who wants this thingamajig? Whaddaya gonna do with that? If any or all of these questions remind you of your life, come learn essential concepts, practical tips, and hands-on practice for de-cluttering and organizing your space, helping you increase efficiency, pursue your goals and turn household chaos into calm and beauty.

Seat Weaving (Chair Caning)
Learn how to cane a chair seat in just seven steps. Patience and creativity are the only skills required to learn the traditional and functional craft of chair caning. Find an old chair  or purchase a complete kit at the first class. If you want to learn how but don’t need a chair or stool to keep, the instructor has chairs in need of seats for your practice! If time and interest allow, additional seat weaving techniques will be demonstrated. Pay instructor supply fee (based on individual student needs—max $30). Registration deadline Apr 17.

Minimize your watering needs and provide an attractive yard for backyard wildlife. You can draw butterflies and birds to your yard or window-sill with the right plants and amenities, even if you live in an apartment! Learn which drought tolerant plants grow well in the Tri-Cities, what birds will come to your yard and what to do to attract them.
